Battery
Bank

Battery banks store backup power that will be used by UPS systems during mains failure of the utility company. In the presence of the grid of the utility company, the UPSs keep the batteries recharged and ready for use in case of need. The backup power stored is proportional to the capacity of the batteries. The bigger the battery, the higher this time, named battery life.

The typical application of battery life is fifteen minutes extending for thirty minutes and one hour. Usually the battery life is calculated on the basis of some factors as the need for autonomy, installed capacity and load level and investment. The higher the required autonomy, the bigger the battery bank, and thus higher the investment. Furthermore, the greater the installed power, the greater the power consumption and therefore higher the battery bank.

The battery banks are comprised of series-connected battery groups and, if required, in parallel, to achieve the value of voltage VDC of the powered system and the required power capacity. The battery groups are kept in enclosures, self-sustainable and appropriate according to the model and quantity. These benches are prepared to accommodate the Equalizer Battery Management System in their internal structure. Click and learn more about the Equalizer System.

CM Comandos provides a full line of battery banks, to meet many all-size applications.
