This month is dedicated to the international awareness movement to reduce traffic accidents. Traffic must be safe for everyone in any situation. The purpose is to bring society’s attention to the high rate of deaths and injuries in traffic around the world.
On May 11, 2011, the UN declared the Decade of Action for Road Safety. As a result, the month of May has become a global reference for taking stock of the actions that the entire world takes. Yellow symbolizes attention and also traffic signs and warnings.
Respect and responsibility. Practice in traffic and always adopt the following attitudes:
• Correctly buckle your helmet
• Place your child in a car seat
• Wait your turn to cross
• Wear a seat belt
• Wear protective equipment
• Never drive while drowsy
• Keep maintenance up to date
• Don’t use a cell phone while driving
• Respect traffic laws
• If you’re going to drink, don’t drive
